Cool, glad you got to go - eventually! - and enjoyed it. It's worth it just for the experience I should imagine.
I would write a letter of complaint though - as it sounds like you had to jump through hoops just to get what you had rightfully won.
Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

So pleased to hear you managed to go, after all the fuss. I felt so sorry for you yesterday.
I would definitely write and tell them about the stress that you were caused.Perhaps they would then realise that they have to follow through when the run these promotions and not just have the enjoyment of ringing winners to tell them they have won a competition.
Thanks to all who post comps!

Yes, it was a good experience - the film was great (little bit of a slow start maybe, but necessary to get the narrative set), special effects were superb and the mouse character (Eddie Izzard?) was very funny. It was very long though, over 2 hours, so go prepared.

The set up in the arena was something else - we were very high up, enough to make me feel a bit funny when I looked down, and the sound quality was excellent

So as I said, glad we went, but I would have enjoyed it even more I think if I hadn't felt constantly "on the back foot" all night. If we could have got there a bit earlier to have joined in the fun outside, and if I could have been more organized with "housekeeping" stuff like food, toilets, etc (the parents will know what I mean!) without everything feeling like a mad panic then that would have been the icing on the cake.

But then there's always the next time...

Yes, I really don't want to sound ungrateful, but I was made to feel very much as though they were doing me a favour yesterday, which was a bit unfair.

Yes, I'll try to offer it in the spirit of feedback rather than an out and out moan, but it seemed as if no-one wanted to take any responsibilty. I'm not sure where to address it though - head office at Milton Keynes would probably be the most sensible I suppose.
