Reading down the posts it was like one of those thrillers you don't want to put down - I am not being funny or sarcastic - I really mean it and when you wrote you had it sorted and could go I was so relieved. I love a happy ending :j .

My stomach was churning, yours must have been in a worse state but I am so very glad you got it sorted and, by now, will have gone.

Hope you all have a fantastic time, after everything you deserve it. But what a nightmare it has been for you.

  • Well we went, and had a really great time - but not without a little more fun and games, as you would expect given the rest of the day's antics.

The call came just as it was time to get the kids from school, so there was a mad dash to get them all changed and into the car, I've never seen them move so fast! We went straight to the box office as instructed, but they only had 2 tickets for us (it was supposed to be 5). Messed about for a while there, then told to go to the back of another queue for Disney box office, where we eventually got the 5 tickets. Had to bypass all the red carpet stuff and go straight into the arena, only to find someone else already sitting in our seats. We compared tickets with them, and both tickets had the same numbers - theirs were printed, ours handwritten. Getting pretty fed up by now, with 3 excited kids and one very tired and wriggly baby, we went to find a steward to see what to do. They told us that the handwritten tickets had to take priority, and asked the other people to move. They quite understandably refused, and so a supervisor was called and they jigged things around to find us all a seat.
It was with some relief that I sank into that seat! The film itself was fine, some great special effects, and the kids really enjoyed seeing the stars on the stage before it - they looked like ants in that huge arena though.

So quite an eventful day, and everyone's very tired today, but I'm so glad we went, and were able to give you all a happy ending eventually. Thanks for all the good wishes, it was nice to know that so many people were rooting for us.
