n power fixed until 2011, just been 'door-knocked'
I've been 'door-knocked' by npower this week and have taken up their fixed 2011 offer. Did look on their website after seeing the deal my friend signed up to - but could only find deals fixed until 2009 on their site. Apparently I was 'chosen' because I used to be an npower customer before (it really was a long time ago). Anyway my rates are:
Electricity
14.98p per unit up to 728kwh per year then
13.90p per unit after
Gas 6.56p per unit up to 4572kwh per year then
2.129p per unit after
(all excl. vat)
Prices will be fixed until 31/12/2010
If anyone thinks this is a good deal it might be worth a phone call to npower to see if they can match it. If anyone's got a better deal I'd be very interested to hear about it. I'm in Midlands region 14.
TBH I'm just glad to know what I'll be forking out for gas end electric for the next 2 1/2 years.

Where d'you live? I've some dusters I need to shift. I give you good price!"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

I took this tarrif recently (went on-line myself not door-to-door).
I worked out it was 17% higher than my exising tarrif (sol 8) for gas and therfore that seemed good to me consider the rises coming.
I only switched my gas as the electricity was about 80% higher.0
