Outlook and network password

Every time I open up Outlook it asks for my network password which I enter and it then goes to send/receive error and I have to do the first one manually. This is despite the fact I tick the box "remember my password" every time.

seen something like this a long time ago. If i remeber rightly the password file is corrupted , do a search on microsofts site.0
