I think we both mis-read things.
Although you do need to be aware that it is easily confused. And that you CAN buy a router with a modem built in from PC world or any electronics shop really.
So there will be 2 routers, one with a modem in built called a DSL router and one without called a broadband or cable router.
The op would need the latter.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

DSL = phone line broadband.
You want what pc world will probably call a cable router, also called just a ethernet router, since its uplink/wan port (the one that goes to the internet) is simply an ethernet port.
There might be some sold as cable/dsl routers, as loaner's talking about, but the technical term for them definitely isn't a cable/dsl router, because there's nothing inherently cable/dsl about them - they're simply ethernet routers, to be used with an ethernet cable modem or an ethernet dsl modem. They're not specifically for use with either cable internet OR dsl, that's just the most common usage for them.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
