I just realised, mine is a calvados brandy which is apple based. Cognac is grape based, then there is peach and cherry brandy....Phew knew i read it right on the bottle...now the thing is, do i have a peach one next? Or a cognac? decisions, decisions..the cognac is a 5 star one so.....

write the names of all the brandies you have knocking about on bits of paper, put in a hat (or other container) and then pick out and have that one, repeat as required

According to Google.....Brandy refers to a range of dry-to-sweet spirits distilled from various fruits. It also applies specifically to dry grape brandy, the finest of which is Cognac, from the French region of the same name.

There is also apple brandy, apricot brandy and blackberry brandy.

I wonder what blackberry brandy & coke tastes like..!!

    Drink anyone??

Sounds like a nice break, always wanted to go there. Didn't know Ryanair went from Newquay though.

  • If you want a good drink, brandy and babycham is a knockout...literally.
Gemmzie, barcelona is fairly cheap from airport and it has one of the best duty free shopping villages i have been in.
last year it was 25 euros from airport to the university, where our apartments were near. There is a regular bus service for about 10 euros. if there are a few of you it works out cheaper with the taxi.

i haven't had a drink since a party thread ages ago. I decided to open some brandy i bought back from portugal about three years ago...tastes even better for the waiting as well.
