I love this thread and think it's full of great ideas for getting samples, but I must add that having worked in schools and nurseries, please don't think that ALL the staff expect a present at Christmas or July! You could just give one present to you child's key-worker or class teacher. A home-made card or present made by the child is a lovely gift to receive. Don't bust the bank buying presents for everyone your child comes into contact with at school!0

I couldn't afford to buy all the nursery staff something at the end of term so bought a beautiful fish windchime from Dobbies garden center so that it could be displayed in the classroom and everyone was delighted, it's going in the new reading corner

Usually September/October best time to ask at perfume counters in stores. I get loads from Debenhams and Boots. Good luck in your mission
I asked in boots yesterday and got given 10 ladies samples on card, really nice ones like Anna Sui.
Always ask, just say its your friends birthday and you want to take some samples for her to try.0 -
I emailed Boots and asked for a sample of their No7 Perfect and whatever moisturiser as I'm allergic to loads of things and it's £15 a bottle.
They offered me diddley squat.
Oh well, back to Avon for me.0
