Does JSA effect Credit Ratings?

A friend of mine is considering Job Seekers Allowance but is worried it will have an adverse effect on her credit rating? Obviously being unemployed will, but will actually claiming JSA have any effect?

It hasn't affected my credit rating and my credit rating is good.0

I think your credit rating depends on your direct debit agreements and whether your overdrawn.
Last year, I was overdrawn for three months, I applied for credit with BT and I had to pay a £25.00 deposit. Earlier this year, I reapplied for credit with BT (had some problems with Sky) and everything was fine.0
