hmm.... strange that this is suddenly being advertised by someone else, after the site maker had his own adverts removed!:happyhear0

Not strange at all. When I saw the original post, I had a look at the site. It looked fairly reasonable and interesting, and I assumed that the link in the OP would soon be deleted. So I posted the link here for posterity.0

personally, i see nothing on there especially new, even if it is a slick site. also, for things like careers advice, places like prospects are better, for moneysaving, i think here is better.
i also don't like the idea of advertising for a spammer, but maybe that's just me!:happyhear0 -
Um yeh theres not much there, I find advice here is a lot better. But meh never know, it might turn into a good site one day.0

Thanks for posting the link John,
I must ask though:
Is the site impartial? It seems that you only promote certain companies. And, yes, I got the press-release... you have 'relationships' with those companies you promote...
add this together with the personal data extracted on registration (address, postcode, dob) and a privacy policy that makes facebook development platform look good. So anyone who signs up has all that personal data sent to those companies you have relationships with?
Not only that, but most of the information held about various countries has been copied from wikitravel. original:T
Apologies if this seems abrupt. I don't normally write on forums, but this site is pretending to be something its not - impartial and for students. Students don't need their personal data abused by misinformation.... impartiality...????0 -
Cuthbertt, yeah i thought there was something funny going on - who ever heard of having to disclose your postcode to register.
site was pretty funny though - chat up lines??
thanks for the headsup - no way am i registering!0 -
Terrible site, purely there to market to students under the guise of advice. Avoid avoid avoid0

Theres nothing unique or of any real value there. Basically an affiliate website linking to products and services the site owner will get commission from.0
