Indusrial strength hoover?

Can anyone recommend a hoover that can cope with builders dust mainly from sanding paintwork and general fine dust/mess caused by removing windows, chopping brickwork etc etc?

I've just had to consign yet another hoover to the scrapheap cos it couldn't cope and blew up. That's the second one in 6 months. We always use the recommended bags and/or filters and empty regularly, but the same thing keeps happening, no matter what make we buy.

Please don't say Henry or Vax are any good..they couldn't cope either...! :) We don't mind splashing out on a super-duper all singing and dancing expensive industrial hoover, but just want to know which one?

Cheers peeps

We have an industrial Henry and our electricians use the exact same model. It's coped with broken tile, brick, plaster, dust, sanding debris and hasn't stopped working once. Our Dyson was hopeless and constantly getting clogged up, particularly when sanding, but this one has been fine. We had two patio doors chopped out with the resultant rubble and plaster and have recently taken all the tiles off a fully tiled kitchen and it just cleaned the floor.

Numatic also do vacuums specifically designed for 'rugged industrial applications' here. Our chimney sweeper had one to hoover up the soot and debris and swore by it.
