After downloading have you actually installed it?
Is it in your programme files?
Can you see it in the add/remove list of programmes?0 -
ran the programme and it said it had down loaded.
no sign of it in any programme list, windows saying no anti virus programme available,
avg wont let me download again says it has been downloaded.
just concerned i dont want to leave my computer unprotected0 -
What operating system are you using?
What is the file called you have downloaded, where is it and have you "opened" it?0 -
It is reasonably clear that you have not yet installed the programme.
Apart from that, how did you go about the 'deleting' of Norton? You'll need to make sure that all traces of Norton have been deleted.
Once AVG 8 has been downloaded and 'saved' on to your computer, you will need to double click on that particular file to begin the installation.
The other option is to choose 'open' when given the choice during the download process.
Then just follow the prompts.
Here is the link again.0 -
You cannot just delete Norton, you need to remove it completely otherwise it will clash with your new anti virus and cause problems, use the Norton removal tool before you install AVG.

Good point. Do make sure it is "removed" rather than just "deleted"
How are you getting on with all of this?0 -
