    I suspect it's too sensitive and probably needs changing. What's the point of having this type of belt if some movement isn't allowed?
    We might as well go back to the old static belts if that's the case and manually adjust as required.

    I find some rear belts do this. They reel out ok then as soon as they go back in a fraction they lock. You can hear the clicking when they reel in. A right pain when trying to fit child seats. If all the rear belts do this it is a safety feature, if only one it is a fault. the only way is to change the belt. What car is it ?
