i wouldn't worry too much about it - most accommodation for first years won't be allocated until after results anyway, as people miss their grades and things like that. if you get sorted quickly onto a course and get applications for halls in quickly, you should be ok (although this will depend on the uni to some extent).:happyhear0

It totally depends on the amount of accommodation the Uni has to offer. Most prioritise overseas students (because they pay well!), then those who take up firm offers and don't live locally. If there is limited room in Halls, those going through clearing have to take pot-luck. If there is anything left it is often the most expensive options - en suite and/or fully-catered."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

Even if you don't get halls accommodation the university will try and help you find private rented accommodation so there is no need to worry. There may even be an opportunity to meet people in the same situation as you at a uni organised housing event that some unis run and sort out a house together. Otherwise people often leave halls soon after the start of the year so accommodation becomes available gradually. Just be organised and get yourself in quick. Is there any reason you are looking at clearing already?0
