I have Sky+ but I want to

I want to cancel it and get a DVR or DVP. How easy or difficult would it be to install it?

And also could i connect it in any way so that I could watch it from my bedroom as well and be able to change channels from there?
Also which would be the best one to get?

And is my satellite dish any use to me after I cancel sky?

when you are out of contract, you can cancel sky and use the box as a freesatfromsky box... however, you won't get any of the sky+ functionality..

what you'll have to buy is a freesat DVR, or other DVR that you can hook up to your dish. Or you pay £10 a month to sky for the sky+ functionality..

Sky dish can be used with the new freesat box from bbc/itv without the cost of installation, from about £50 non-HD to £150 HD, as for changing channels from the bedroom I'd employ a small child.
