Will he be charged interest??

My husband has a mint credit card which has 0% on balance transfers until next feb and 0% on purchases until August.
He has made one purchase with the card.
Does this mean that he will be charged interest on this purchase from August? Or will the interest only apply to purchases made from August? (which he WILL NOT be doing).
I told him not to use the card to spend because we have a 4k balance transfer on there which is at 0%. But he insists the purchase (which was for £200) will remain at 0% even after august and that interest would only apply to new purchases from august.
I'm not convinced. Will get him to ring mint but thought i'd ask here too for a quick answer.
Thanks x

You are right, he is wrong. You'll be looking at a fiver or so a month from August.
Dump him!!

It's just over £3 a month (at 14.9% APR typical), so don't go rushing to BT the debt away...especially since you'll probably have to pay another BT fee (of more than the total interest you'll incur over the next x months).0
