So far when i have bought anything electrical i have gone to one of the big stores because it feels much safer if anything goes wrong with the product.
Am i being too cautious do you think as now you can get such good cheaper deals over the net ?
What sort of comeback would i have if a problem arose with a new tv ?

If you have a problem with your new TV, you can send it back to an online retailer just the same way you can take it back to a shop...so I wouldn't worry about that.
If you feel happier having somewhere to take it back though, you could think about looking in Richer Sounds - they are normally pretty competitive in price and can offer a really good protection deal on the TVs (5 years for 10 or 20% the cost of the screen iirc).
You'll get people dissing RS around the place, but I've never really had any problems with them.0 -
I'd go for the net every time, nearly always cheaper, (well for bigger stuff) and if you hunt out online discount codes you can save a few more quid too, I've just bought a new telly online, got 10% online dicount, 3 years cover for an extra £30, saved £450 over the = Comet price, the discount code has finished now, but it was for Empire Direct, I never buy insurance normally but for £30 on top of a good price I thought what the heck, I spend more each time I put petrol in my car. There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't...0
