Maybe YBS process transfers twice on a Friday. Otherwise, they will have 3 days worth of transfers to process on a Monday.

    1. Actioned at 12:05 on Mon 18/6/07. Arrived Fri 22/6/07
    2. Actioned Mon 26/11/07 @ 00:05. Cleared on Thurs 29/11/07
    3. Actioned at 21:10 on Mon 7/1/08. Cleared on Fri 11/01/08

    (3) would be after the cut-off point of any bank
    (1) indicates that the cut-off point is before 12:05

Where does the 20-minute window come from mentioned earlier on the thread?

    12.05 pm, not 00.05am I think.

YBS begin* their processing at around 00:20

I, and it appears Speculator, try and get our transfer requests in between midnight and 00:20

    * Or used to, being as I've just logged on at 00:30

Yes, same (end) result as actioning it at 00:05 on Monday...except you lose a days interest!

No, I've only made one transfer so far.

Where did you get this information from?

I once asked YBS for their cut-off point and was told it was 17:00.

You could not have concluded this from your tests above.

Whilst I am quite happy to stay up till midnight for a £10K transfer, I'd be curious to get to the bottom of this.

I have tried this with other banks/BS' who have a 4-day cycle. For some of them Sunday can be day 1.

I'll initiate a £1.01 transfer during the day on Sunday and £1.02 transfer during the day on Monday and see what happens.
