    Premier, thanks for your input.

Do you mean that you pay 50% less than the 4.35p Kwh that MyOzone calculated, or 50% less than the 31.15p per litre I'm paying Calor?...

Whoops, missed that question earlier :o

Yes, as MyOzone answered, based on 4.35p per kWh which is over 50% more than Ebico price 2.86p per kWh (inc VAT) for mains gas.

I'll take it all day at that rate. I pay 54ppl inc VAT from Flogas June 2008 rate. Please can more users put their rates on this site. I believe Calor are cheaper but it is a closed market so most have no choice, freeze or pay.

Have I got this correct? Calor is 31.15 + £15.55 per quarter? I understood market rate is about 36-40ppl at the moment (June 2008) My rent is 13p a day. and I pay Flogas 54ppl. I'm in Bucks. Just gone up from 43ppl (on 7700 litre a year). I now know I'm being seriously ripped off, thanks to this site and others, and Flogas can take the tank with thanks, but 31.15odd, is that really correct?

Can someone else concur on EddyB's rate of £31.15 + £15.55 per quarter, plus VAT Calor LPG rate. Can we really get that rate? Sounds like he describes a newish "executive" estate. A deal with the developer may have been done? Best I'm quoted is 36-40ppl June 2008 and rising. Which for me is better than I pay now (A real snip even). But if right eddyB if I ask nicely will you swap bills?
  • Hey abigbill, i live in Bucks and had Flogas out last week. I was quoted 32.9ppl

Calor quoted me the three rates (as mentioned above) year 1, year 2 and zonal at year three. I pointed out that they were more expensive than the Flogas startup rate and they offered £100 worth of free gas.

Calor make a charge for the bulk tank installation whereas Flogas do not.

What's the tie-in period with the supplier once you signup?

Spoke to Calor. Want to tie me in for 2 years @ £0.41 (ppl). Free 150 of Gas after 6 months. Price held not to increase more thatn 2.5p every six months. This is their std contract. Thus could be 50p odd in 2 years. The other thing to watch is the uplift fee at £230.00 if I change to anotehr supplier. The market seems to be about £0.41 (ppl). Very surprised at 33ppl. How long did they agree to hold this. Seem to agree to hold it at low until September when you will want to use it. It is below market so is a catch-you rate. Is this repalcing an exsitng tank or a fresh install? Seems FI get the best rates, 'cos once you've committed to the LPG route they can get reel you in later.

Usual Flogas ploy is to say a price, but then add a surcharge so that their ppl rate stays low. It is all about the semantics. 33ppl is a 'bite theirs hand off' rate. But can you get that held when temperatures drop? Let us all know.
