Travelling to south America - Peru, Ecuador, Argentina and Brazil - in September. Has anyone done similar and brought lap top with them? Wondering if it will just be a hassle trying to keep it safe! We are travelling by air (no overland) and staying in hotels. Look forward to all advise!

Friend used to work there practically on a monthly basis. Always took his laptop, never had any problems, even where the hotel room didn't have a safe.Gone ... or have I?0
