Hi,
Just thought I'd warned people about the bargain corner at Ikea's Brent park store.
I'd already decided to buy a pair of voile curtains for just under a fiver a pack, when I spotted a single one in the bargain corner priced at seven pounds!!
I challanged the member of staff who sold it to me for a pound - through sheer embarrassment.
BEWARE - that bargain may not be so cheap after all!!
Only this time it worked out well for me!!
Thanks ;)

You do have to be very careful when buying anything from bargain corner.
What was the original full price? generally the price will not be reduced by more than 50%.
How much damage is there? Sometimes there a a number of the same item in very different conditions at the same price.
To be honest it is only a bargain if you were going to buy it full price!Smile it confuses people!0 -
I have had some really great buys from the bargain corner, and we always pop in to have a look whenever we visit Ikea.
Brent Park always seems to have loads of Wardrobe carcasses for £10... normally around £40. Just search through the pile to find the colour/size you need and make sure that you have the bag of nuts & bolts to go with it... if the box you want doesn't have them, just take them from another one.
Over a three week period this summer we got 5 wardrobes like this... a cool £150+ saving!
On a different point, if you are looking for Ikea furniture then take a look on eBay. As long as it's local you can usually get it dirt cheap as postage costs are prohibitive. I got 3 mirrored wardrobe doors for £40 on a maiden bid... they would normally set you back £200!!!

We are having problems with a lovely cooker we bought from the bargain corner in croydon
it was missing some parts on the hob no instructions plus their staff member broke one of the legs.
we were promised that the parts would have been ordered on the monday last saturday oh phoned to be told they had arrived and 4 hours in ikea later no-one could find them. of course we had disconnected our old one so have had no hob for nearly a week now and its expensive having microwave meals/oven food with 2 disabled children
any ideas folks on how to get this sorted?
we have got in touch with trading standards this morning who have given us some guidelines.
the thing is my hubby to be bought it as my christmas present and i do love it in our kitchen but the stress is giving us major grief0 -
has anybody taken ikea to the small claims court?0
