Hi all
Not sure if this warrants a sticky or not, but I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread where people posted experiences with paying utilities, regular bills etc using a credit card. The important thing to stress is that it must be without any serious penalty, such as being classed as a cash advance.
I thought this would be useful for two reasons:
1) People who are having short term cash flow problems - could help keep their credit record clear
2) People who are wanting to earn as much cashback as possible.
I can start the ball rolling with Sky TV. I pay my Sky TV and Broadband by CC, automatically takes payment each month.
I also until last year paid my Council Tax (Three Rivers District) by credit card with no surcharge. This couldn't be set up as a regular payment though, and had to be done online every month hence why I stopped doing it!

I don't like the idea of setting up a Continuous Credit Card Authority as they are a !!!!!! to cancel - it can only be done by the company.0
