MBNA balance transfer

Thought this info might be useful.
I have a zero per cent transfer with an MBNA amex, nearing the end of the offer, and phoned asking if it were possible to extend the deal. They said they were unable to extend the zero per cent, but checked my other MBNA cards for offers.
Surprisingly there was an offer marked on another (virgin) amex card of zero per cent until march, with a fee cap of £50. I maxed out the card, which has a very high limit, and will turn a reasonable profit. So its worth asking credit card companies about any deals, even if you don't receive anything through the post.
Cheers
