point me in the right direction?

Ok so I am currently an at home mum, my son who is 5 goes to school every day and I have a daughter who has just turned 1. I want to go back to work but do not want to miss out on all of her firsts etc and she is a stickler for routine and also she can be a madam and I dont think she will settle for a childminder and suchlike (has a terrible temper!)

So what I would like to do ideally is work from home, i have looked at lkeeneze and betterware but not in great detail, are there any other places where I can earn money by working from home but still be a mum to my 2 kiddies?

Before i get blasted about being lazy and everything else I am not, My partner brings in a good wage and I bring up the children, it works for us but I would like to get a job so that maybe I could put all the money direct into a savings account and save up for holidays and such like.

ignore all those who say you are lazy as i do not think you are not and i think others would agree. why would you want to have anyone else bringing up your child if you can afford to have that arrangement? im not at that stage yet but it is what me and my OH plan to do should we get that far!

my mum's friend works for the AA, does the callcentre stuff but from her front room. she has a lockable computer cupboard in her front room, earns a wedge, maybe try something like that?

AA being the breakdown recovery company or alcoholics anonymous?

I am seriously considering selling childrens books but wanted more ideas before I commit to anything. My partner said I would be brilliant at being an Ann Summers rep (not sure if that is a good thing, or indeed what he means by that comment)

I am very old fashioned in the sense that I do not believe you should have children if you are going to dump them on osomeone else etc ... that is just my opinion though and not there to cause an argument with anyone. I understand some people have no choice but to go out to work but if I can help it then in everyway possible I will fight kicking and screaming to find a way to be at home with my children.

Is there anyway you could give me some more information about the AA? if at all possible?

Have you tried AQA? They offer evening shifts as far as I'm aware and it seems quite interesting work. There's a thread somewhere on here - search for it in the forum search.

Hi there, there is an up your income board which might help, my computer isn't letting me c+p at the moment but they have lots of information you might like to read through re working from home.

Ok so I have just applied for AQA which I knew nothing about. Thankyou. I also keep thinking about making up baby hampers and nappy cakes to sell locally but again this is something which I would enjoy but is not going to bring in hundreds of pounds so could be a sideline.

thankyou for the suggestions, please keep them coming.

My children are older than yours, in the past ive delivered leaflets cash in hand and we've saved that money for holidays etc, also do yellow pages/ thomsons delivering, this is only once per year but quite good money, just landed a cash in hand job delivering yet again £55 per month cash in hand again.

    every little helps :)
