Travel Injections

Am going to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos in late August and need to get my jabs sorted. The practice nurse sorted out Hep A and Typhoid at the local doctors and they've given me a list of Travel Clinics for the other injections I need (Japanese B encephalitis, hepatitis B etc..). I'm just wondering is it worth shopping around or do the travel clinics follow a set pricing structure? Any help is appreciated

My GP surgery has always given me all of the injections I have needed for travel without a problem. Most it has cost me was a prescription charge as for a couple I had to get a prescription for the vaccine and then take it to doctors.

No harm in checking prices with a couple of travel clinics to see if the prices are the same

    Hey captain_insano,

it also depends how long you're going for. I went to Mexico for about 1 month and it turned out that no vaccinations were needed (although they were recommended)! If I'd gone for a bit longer and stayed in a bit less tourist-friendly areas, I'd have decided to get jabs.
However, in my case, my GP didn't want to give me any jabs on NHS and I couldn't afford to get all of them that NHS recommends on their webpage. Thereore, I went to Mexico without any vaccinatisation and still everything was fine! :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Went to cambodia in December-got chatting to the nurse when discussing my injections and she was lovely-ended up doing everything on the list for free there and then, whilst standing next to a large poster advising of the nearest private travel clinic that they send all patients to-no exceptions.:j:j:j
