For DD1 and DD2 they share socks and knickers as they as in the same size (But 2 years apart) ages 5 and 3. However im not really sure how many clothes they have but to say a lot is an understatement. The little one has the hand-me-downs and new stuff to. Im still adjusting to the little one not being at home and needing less clothes now she wears school uniform. And yes we have lots of that in stock too, including the next sizes up.

My Son is a different matter, if i would let him he would wear the same clothes all the time, including undies. He is 12 and has aspergers syndrome so hates the thought of changing his clothes. Apparently its something to do with the smell of them, well thats what the autistic society told me. He only wears dark clothes. Once in a blue moon i manage to get him in a pair of jeans but it is usual trackie bottoms. So i feel guilty as i dont spend as much on him as the other two.

My daughter has so many clothes it's embarrassing. I could easily cut back and I have told her that for autumn, she isn't getting anything more - I bought three pairs of trousers and three tops. For school, she has enough trousers for a week, three skirts, about 8 polo shirts and 4 jumpers/cardigans. I have that much because I work full-time plus a bit, and the washing sometimes gets a bit neglected.

My son has six pairs of black trackpants for school (we need a lot because of accidents), three other school trackpants (we send spares but they are never plain black so that I know whether he's been changed), about six polo shirts and three jumpers. For out of school he has about 6 t-shirts that he will wear and he uses the same trousers or shorts (we have about 5 pairs of usable shorts).

What anyone needs depends on their child and their washing habits. I couldn't do it with the number of items the OP suggested, the children would be going to school naked two days out of three!

Just wondered if anyone who posted on here ever sorted their kids clothes out. I did:D It took a while but I'm 99% there.

I based it on the amounts pigpen had given, just tweaked a little for the needs of my family.

I have an 8yo ds and 5yo dd and this is what they now have.

    10 pairs pants
    10 pairs socks (ds)
7 pairs socks + 5 pairs white school socks or navy school tights (dd)

    5 bottoms
8 tops -longsleeved in winter, short in summer

    2 jumpers
    1 -'fancy' cardi/shrug (dd)

    4 pyjamas
4 boxer shorts (ds- for when it's too hot for pj's-he is a 'hot' child)

1 smart shirt (ds for parties)
    1 party dress (dd)

2 swimming costumes (so they always have a spare when we go away)

    1 pair shoes
    1 pair trainers
    1 pair wellies

They also have 3-5 sets of school uniform. 5 polo shirts for dd cos they are white:rolleyes: 3 jumpers for ds. Plus pe kit and football kit for ds

DD currently has an extra jumper so I won't replace that when she outgrows one. DS has the right amount in exactly right style, a v neck one and a short zip both fleeces but they are in size 7 or 7-8 and he's almost 9 so they are getting too small and I cannot find the same style anywhere.

Shoes are our biggest problem. I figured one shoes, one trainers, one best and one wellies, but the school insist on leaving PE kits at school with trainers in, spare shoes for playing outside, which inevitably mean more trainers, and then they have no trainers at home, so a third pair is needed.

They currently have one warm coat, one smarter, less warm coat, about 4 jumpers, 5 trousers, lots of socks and knickers, half a dozen t shirts and one or two posh outfits fo weddings christenings and the like, which are kept in my wardrobe.

I don't spend much on clothes to be honest, but I do accept donations, of which we get plenty because we are a large family, and folk are very kind, I also charity shop and ebay.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.
