He's been here as long as I can remember, and overall hes definitely the best postie ever. If a package comes and were not in, he would often wait or hang around for us. Like today I had 2 packages come, one came threw the door (while i was out for a bit) then after I got it there was a knock at the door and he said "ah I thought you'd be in" and he handed the other parcel over. He actually came all the back from the end of his round to deliver it.
He definitely needs a tip soon!

You are very lucky!! We never seem to have the same postman, and our post is quite often delivered to one of our neighbour's houses rather than to us (despite having a house number on the gate post and another by the front door!). We used to have a postman very similar to the one you describe, but he retired...0

Sounds like a great postman.
We also have a lovely post man, only young 30's and hes so nice and chatty like yours if he calls with a package say 9am and we are not in ( or in bed!) he will come back again at 12/1pm when hes finished. Its nice when they do that as they dont have to. He went on holiday the other week and we were lost without him, just wasnt the same LolNew York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.

Why not send a letter of compliment to his local office, everyone these days is quick to complain but very few make the effort to reward good service. It would be nice if his/her excellent service was highlighted to collegues might even make them up the antiBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0
