I bought a fridge. It was insured by Domestic General. It had to be replaced just recently and I told them my son and I were diabetics. I was told I would be buying the fridge/freezer from Comet and to call them about delivery times. They told me that I could get it on Tuesday. This was on Friday. I explained that we were on insulin and it needed to be kept cold. I was told that they knew that and Tuesday was the first day they could deliver. I wonder how long other people would have to wait. I had to wait a week for the engineer and to wait another 4 days with insulin sitting in a warm fridge.
Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time

Change your insurer at the end of the term. Check the terms as to what service level they offer, i.e. when they are expected to provide replacements and whether there are any time limitations.Remember the time he ate my goldfish?
