Hi guys,

Does anyone have any info on the vundo trojan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vundo or know a reliable way of deleting this thing?

A friend of mine has it on his laptop and it's causing him problems...

Many thanks in advance for any help.....

was just about to post the malware thread , the first post will only deal with Vundo but leave ( or install) other infections/keyloggers

the malware thread will deal with those for you and ensure a clean PC

I couldn't run the scan from this panda site (on the malware thread), as avast detected two viruses coming from panda !!!!

    Any ideas ????

Should the problem persist despite all this then run all the free online scans at both these sites:

    http://www.pandasecurity.com/uk/home...ns/activescan/

using the "Scan your PC now" button not the other button to buy the program

It's actually a friend of mines laptop which has the vundo trojan in it. As the malware thread instructions were quite long, I think he is going to attempt it at the weekend..

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
