I have a Student bank account with Natwest which I opened for the free railcard............I'm transferring small sums in and out to keep the account open but I'm tempted to transfer out the overdraft that Im allowed to have an put it in my savings account and then atthe end of my degree pay it back and keep the interest.....................has anyone else done this..............? Is it a good idea?.........? Does anyone know if your credit rating is affected by being overdrawn for such a long period of time.........................?

The interest made is yours to keep.
I currently keep half of my overdraft in a savings account so that I can pay it back whenever the bank want me to, and in case I need the extra overdraft in an emergency.
But I don't know how it affects your credit rating.0 -
A few people have suggested it as a good idea..........I'm just worried about it affecting my crredit rating for being overdrawn for such a long period of time.......m277 wrote:The interest made is yours to keep.
