Ihave got £25.000 in investments with the Halifax and also my husband and I have an investment isa each, which was worth £8.000, but is going down daily. What I would like to know if, where could we put our investments so they will make us a profit? Should we switch to savings acounts?
Any help will be appreciated as we have struggled with this for months now on what to do..
Thanks
Pat

You say you have an investment ISA which tells us the wrapper. However, you say nothing about the investments within that wrapper. So, we cant make any real comment on what you have now. Do you want to let us know where you are invested?
Also, investments do typically zig zag. So ups and downs are normal.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Should I take my ISA's out and put the money in a high % account? or should I take it all out and invet somewhere else?
A range of bonds may not be a bad thing. Problem is you have it with a rubbish provider at the moment. So right concept just wrong provider. Never buy investments from a bank.
I suggest you get a local IFA out to review the investments. They should be able to switch it to a better spread from a whole of market approach and at the same time give you a basic understanding on the different types of investment. There is certainly scope for improving it but you need to decide if you do it yourself or use an IFA.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
