Thanks guys, i dont start work til later today so ive got a few hours to spare this morning and im going to register with pigsback and take a look at quidco, my friend told me about "toluna"? is this any good?

feeling very motivated again today, as im on lates im going to prepare dinner for tonight to save OH making when she gets in!!
gives me a chance to really make note of what we need for the coming month, seeing as we are going to be on such a tight budget!!
im managing to rustle up a chilli chicken meal with kidney beans and a tin of chopped tomatoes dragged from the back of the cupboard... last of the chicken tho :mad:

been thinking a lot about my situation, this site has helped me so much its unreal :j

whats done is done, just need to move forward the best we can now!

at least im so positive about it!!

p.s.... trying for a no spend day today!! lunch is leftover spag bol from last nite!!

grrrrr just had a letter from the bank saying that i cant reclaim my charges yet as the everything is still on hold and if I want to go ahead with court proceedings it will still be put on hold until after the appeal from the banks!

is this correct or am i just being fobbed off again?

With regard to the bank charges I think you may be being fobbed off - have a look at the main site (rather than the forums) and see what Martin has to say.....

Just a quick thought - most people have covered hte main things but do have a look on hte Oldstyle Board as they are really good at making meals for very little - there are threads on how to make a meal for 50 p and Weezl has a great thread too.

Also try the snowball calculator to see which cards etc to pay first (once the OD is in control!) You may want to see if Allinca & Leicester are still doing their deal whereby they match your current overdraft with no interest payable for I think a year (you have to be in credit at some time in hte month though) as wekk as the HSBC deal mentioned above.

Finally, our lovely Hyno suggested looking at the various challenges - there is a sub board called somehing like "maximising your income" which gives details of mystery shops etc.

Thanks peb, I think you are right about the bank charges, I have sent another letter off today.

Ive also joined pigsback and toluna! a cpl little things off my list :j

the scary thing is going to be surviving next month, once all bills are paid, theres very very little to get us through the month :eek:

Im gonna get over and look at the OS board for shopping tips as this is going to be the big issue for us!!

another positive day thanks to the advice Ive had on these threads.

just kidding... things are a lot better in that department now thanks... just in deep doo doo money wise!!

hard times are ahead, I feel ive already made such progress in the past cpl days... although nothing has been paid off, the help ive had on this site is unbelievable, my mind is set and raring to go!! I need to clear my debts!!

the people are so friendly too and no one is judging me which im loving as i feel im always being judged and looked down upon

Everyone is indeed very friendly and very helpful. Debts take time to sort out, we all know that, but the ride is so much easier with friends on MSE.

hmmm well yesterday was a good day, didnt spend a penny and received a letter from bt saying our internet was going down in price by a few £'s a month which is good and also we could pick a free gift worth £49.99!!

we picked a digital photo frame so now thats my mums xmas present to put away!!

trying for a no spend day again today :T

but its my first friday since my LBM... no night out for us tonight
