Hi all,
I never complain about stuff but I complained about some dirty sheets at a hotel the other day and they gave me a refund! Well worth doing, obviously only if there is a genuaine reason to complain. Do you do it or do you keep quiet? If you do, what have you got? xx

Hi all,
I don't usually complain if I have a problem, I usually just keep quiet but the other day I stayed in a hotel and complained becasue I had dirty sheets. I was given a full refund!
Do you complain (obviously only if something is genuinely wrong) or do you keep quiet. if you do, what have you got out of it?

I only ever complain if something's genuinely wrong.
Sometimes I get fobbed off, sometimes I get reimbursed, sometimes I get a goodwill gesture. It all depends on (a) how aggrieved I am, (b) how far I push it and (c) how willing the company is to make good its bad reputation!
Cheers

Was it the Premier Travel Inn chain? If so, they have a money back guarantee if you are dissatisfied with your stay.Gone ... or have I?0

I did once. My optician's had given me a year of general bad service (rudeness, poor quality frames where the lens dropped out - they gave me a screwdriver). When I visited another optician, and was told they'd also given me too strong a prescription, I lost my temper.
Wrote a letter, as in person when angry I tend to get shouty and teary. I can be calm in writing. Included a photocopy of the eye test, and tried to set a tone of 'very annoyed but polite'.
Got a letter back within two weeks offering a full refund for the glasses. I don't think they like me there any more, and I'll be using a different opticians, but with a £175 cheque I'm very happy!0 -
aw Im never scared to complain ....Lost count of the amount of times,
1 was recently at McDonalds drive through , after 15 mins of waiting , I got out of my car .. marched to the order window, and demanded to know what was taking so long .. walked away with free fries, and cokes for 4 people
