Best monthly return for life on house sale capital

In pursuit of Equity release but without giving most of it away on a life mortgage I aim to invest/annuitise (50/50?) the realisation of my house sale.
This will, hopefully, give sufficient monthly/annual income to provide rented accomodation and leave a reasonable amount to supplement our pension.

Probable amount - £200k, anticipated length 10+ years, hopefully no need to use any capital that is not annuitised

Any suggestions.

The sort of products you are enquiring about are regulated finanancial services products (unlike savings accounts) and therefore we can't give you any advice in that area as it is against board rules and put us in breach of FSA rules.

Certain types of annuity could be appropriate. As could a range of other investment products. Based on your post, you would have to be looking at a range of a couple of thousand providers/products/options. It would need a lot more narrowing down on the options front.
