back boiler service

what is the going rate for a baxi bermuda 401 service/clean. or can you do it yourself ie hoover the dust

    The firefront has to come off for a service on this one then both parts need servicing/cleaning also the integrity and pull of the chimney needs to be checked, there are now new ventilation regulations which may mean the existing ventilation needs upgrading.

    I would charge about £70 for a full, (proper) service on a BBU

    BTW I would also advise you invest in a CO alarm if you haven't already got one, visit www.trustcorgi.com for details
    Mine needed a new fan so that must be whats wrong with yours:D

    What is the point in having Corgi gas engineers if people think they can service their own boilers? Where will it end? DIY neurosurgery?

    All CORGIs do for a service is hoover a boiler out anyway.:confused:.

    We charge £60 + vat for a back boiler/fire service which takes over an hour to do.

    When i used to service BB, i always fitted a new thermocouple as stanard pratice.

    But they can, under the gas regs. Silly but true.
