Hi I spilt a little bit of tea in the keyboard of my laptop which promptly switched itself off! I have tried drying it out by leaving it in a warm room, taking battery out etc... but it still refuses to work! Any advice or have I lost it??

I'd give it a few days to completely dry out. If it still doesn't switch on then I'm afraid you've fried the motherboard and you'll probably need to replace it. Mostly it's not cost effecive to replace the motherboard.0

best bet with that is check the powersupply, try changing the fuse if it will let you as it should blow to prevent electrocution...
make sure its dry definatly last thing anyone wants is 240v in their lap.....
if it will not turn on after as richt71 said its probably the motherboard.
it will work out cheaper to get a new one, check you are covered for this in your contents insurance policy under acidental damage, you can the weigh up if the laptop is worth the excess or just bite the bullet and buy a new one.
Some parts of your laptop can be saved even if it is a write-off
you could try to salvage the harddrive so you can take your data with you.
best getting someone who knows about pcs/laptops to do that for you.
Hope this helps.0
