Personal Inflation

I saw the figures for inflation today at 3.3%, I know that there are lots of ways of working out inflation but this figure must not be very accurate.
I live a very modest life with my wife, we both work with no children we have one car and live in a one bed flat.
we have no debt to our name.
Our personal inflation rate is nearly 14% from this time last year.
So where do they get 3.3% from? :T:T

Yes its laughable that they come up with figures like that, really far removed from the true inflation felt by us all.As far as I know the CPI doesnt include food and energy prices. Will our annual raises reflect this increased inflation?Doubt it.0

Ive never actually looked too hard at how theywork out the headline number, but if you read through this they are aware that there are a lot of things rising well above 3.3%
