Hi ppl,
There's this restaurant down the road which serves good food. They also do delivery, and it's free for orders above £15. Sometimes, when I'm lazy to cook, I would make an order for collection (since I can't eat more than £15).
I've done it a couple of times already, but for the past 2 times, I've noticed the bill is around 50p more expensive than the total I calculated by using the take away menu.
Earlier today, the same thing happened. From the menu, I ordered two dishes, a £5.50 and a £5.00. On collection, he looked at his piece of paper, inputed £5.50 into his cashier machine, pause for half a second too long, and inputed another £5.50!
I didn't dare to voice out this discrepancy. For one thing, he looks stout and scary. And his voice sounds like one of those which get annoyed quickly.
any advice or thoughts? thanks!!!!

There's only one thing to do; query the price whilst he's there. If you're too scared then either go somewhere else or pay the extra.0

Have you got a current menu? I sometimes help at my uncles t/a and one of the most frequently asked questions is: "Is this an up-to-date menu"? We have customers still ordering from menus dated about 10-12 years ago.The man without a signature.0

yes, check you have up to date menu and when your order ask for them to give you / confirm the total costBaby Milk Action is a non-profit organisation which aims to save lives and to end the avoidable suffering caused by inappropriate infant feeding.0

ooh, that was the first thing I suspected, an old menu. That's another reason why I thought I should hold back on querying. But no, upon leaving the restaurant, I took a menu/leaflet by the cashier machine. It is still the same menu.0

Query it whilst in there, as they shouldn't charge you extra if you pick it up.
If they say it's a "extra charge", just tell them no thanks, and walk away. I'm sure they'll then knock the 50p off. If you don't query it, they'll do it again.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
