I want to build a simple (at first) website can anyone suggest any programs that are fairly straightforward to use and some sites to upload it?

I built my own, long and arduous task and still have a long way to go to get it right but it brings business in so that's what counts. I found a few photo gallery programs that are free, tinkered with bits on it to personalise it, by playing with the code. Learnt that by tutorials online, adjusting code etc and gettting some feedback, not enough yet. The links above are good and should get you on the way. Once you can see what certain things do then you can play around and adjust it.
