Should I wait or should I start looking?

Hi, Sorry if this question has already been posted hundreds of times with the market looking like it is!

I have just been accepted for the keyworker scheme in London and am looking to get my foot on the property ladder.
Since telling people this, I have recieved lots of mixed advice about what to do. Some people are saying to wait 6 months to a year whilst others are saying go for it as you can get a a good reduction on the price right now.

What do you helpful people think?

Thanks in advance

I personally would not be looking to buy this year because i can say for certain i will be able to get a lot more for my money next year or the year after and that money is not little digits on a screen but hard earned money so why should i give it away or end up paying for a place that is falling in price all the time.
Christ i would not be a happy chappy
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

If you can afford it and can negotiate a reduction then I say go for it. But I'm just some guy on the internet.
