Hi,
I logged onto my laptop this morning and the display has gone large and blurry.
All icons are much larger than they used to be and are blurry/pixelated.
I went onto a website and that appeared much larger and blurrier also (in fact it wouldn't all fit on the screen)
I tried to watch a downloaded programme on BBC iplayer but an error box came up saying picture quality was too poor.
To my knowledge I hadn't done anything to change the display settings on my laptop and nobody else has access to it.
Any suggestions please? (in not too technical language please)

Looks like the resolution has changed. Easy fix:-
1. Go to your desktop
2. Right click and select Properties
3. Click on the Settings tab
4. Move the Screen resolution slider to the right and click on Apply
This will change the resolution to a higher value and should solve the problem.0 -

I had the same thing a few weeks back, it turned out that I had fallen asleep with the screen on my face. There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't...0

It'll only not look blurry if it's at exactly the native resolution of the screen. You need to find that out, although on most laptops, it's the highest resolution the settings will allow, or one beneath that.
No harm trying both.Russia is HERE0 -
Thanks for the suggestions.
I've altered the resolution now and it's fine.
Still no idea why the resolution spontaneously changed itself but at least it's sorted now.MS Stalwart. Used site for >10 years :jMake Do, Mend and Minimise member - focussing on upcycling/repurposing and sewing0
