I am looking at moving to Sky for the tv, phone and internet, but the internet has a download limit of 2Mb. I don't really have a clue on what that means :confused: If I were to just be on looking on the internet and not download anything, would that eat into it? As it's loading pages, etc? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I am on the internet quite a lot so would be worried if I went over the limit. If it doesn't, does anyone have any idea how much you could download? for example, 300 songs?

    I am on this computer all day through a mobile phone. My contract has a download limit of 2GB.
    If you're not downloading music or videos, 2GB is a lot. 5MB (1/400th of your allowance) equates to about a four minutes of music, or the complete works of Shakespeare in text format.;)

    Are you sure the 2Mb is the download limit and not the speed rating? If it is the speed rating, it is merely how fast your connection is.

    Normally download limits are listed in Gb not Mb.

    I thought the 2 was the speed rather than a limit? I've been thinking about going with sky too.

    I assume inaspin means 2GB rather than 2MB, unless the OP meant 2Mbps connection rate (speed) with no download limit?

    It all depends what you download, I'm a heavy web and e-mail user, and get through about 2Gb per month, remember you might download software, patches and updates too. But if you aren't downloading live TV or movies, and just the odd bit of music, 2Gb will be fine per month.

    Yes Sky base package is 2GB. Only Vodafone think that unlimited use is limited is 50MB.

    The up to 2 Mb package (Sky Base) has a download limit of 2 GB.

    Aw, guess I won't be joining sky then :( I think we probably need unlimited. We download films all the time.
