I recently went to Florida and had my pictures put onto CD. If I get this done in Boots Chemist I can view the pics on my DVD but I cant do it with this one and when I put the CD into my PC I get the message cannot find file 'walgreaves.exe' (Walgreaves is where I go the pictures put onto CD. As we are talking hundreds of pictures is there anyway or any programmes I can download free to view them. I dont want to have to get them all printed off (397!) Thank you.

I don't know why you would need an .exe to see your pictures. They should be on the disc as jpegs.
Try this...........
Put the disc in while you are holding down the shift button. Keep your finger on the shift for 30 secs or so (this stops autorun).
Then double click my computer, then your CD disc drive. It should list the whole contents of the disc which would normally be all your pics as jpegs. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

An exe is a program. It doesn't need another program to run it. The only thing I can think is that they have put the photos on a disc as part of their own viewer program (if it is it's very naughty).
Try my method again (with the shift button). This time right click on your CD drive, and click explore. This should show you all the contents of the disc without trying to run anything. Tell us what's on there. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

To have the right program open jpeg's automatically, you may need to renew the file association to your favourite program (e.g. Photoshop / MS Office Picture Manager).
Open 'My Computer' goto 'Tools' menu, and select 'Folder Options'. Click the 'File Types' tab, and scroll to jpeg. Select it, then click on 'Change'. You can then browse for your favourite program. Click apply, and presto, that program will be used to open jpegs from then on.0 -
Could it be that Walgreens are trying to make you use their own photo software Walgreens Photoshow0

Choose the picture you want (don't open it yet). Hold down shift, right click, select 'open with', then choose explorer, then OK. When the picture opens (it will open in a normal window). Do what I said in my previous post. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
