  • Darn I am so thick! I didn't think of that!!!!

It was too late and I deposited £5 - but all is not lost as I played a £1 scratchcard - won £1! :T So am now going to withdraw my £5 and will hopefully be £5.50 up!!! Thank you MSE!

it doesnt work for scratch cards it has to be a lotto ticket
There is a Money Saving Expert quidclan, next time your on quidco have a look for it
  • Oh bum - I had better add some more money then! I was going to do this week's lotto so I won't feel like I am spending anything I wouldn't have spent anyway I suppose!

    Thanks for that brownmurder!
  • Can I just clarify a couple of things? When Quidco says "Tracked" can this still result in a non-payment?

Also - as soon as eMusic is "validated" is it safe to then cancel the subscription?

    Thanks!
  • It seems that people have spotted that Lottery is now £5.50 which makes it a good thing to do since new registration is 50p. Minimum spend is £5 so register spend £5 get £6 plus winnings :D

    I am now tempted
    Buy for value not cost.
    Feb Grocery = £55.87 / 80
  • I already have a lotter account, so what I did was withdraw the money left in my lottery account which was there for future lottery tickets, and will spend my husband's lottery account instead!

So - here's to my winning £10M lotto ticket this coming friday!!!

The quotes have to be genuine otherwise the merchant can refuse to pay.

Being as home insurance is ( bar a house move during the year ) a once a year event, what justification do you believe there is seeking more than quote for the same thing in a short space of time? Or even 5 quotes for the same thing in a short space of time?

Confused.com remembers peoples name and/or address details which means that if people give their correct details they get invited to log in as opposed to being able to gain a fresh/new quote.

Although I agree with your points, why set the limit at 5? It's not as if any genuine person will use it 5 times? Let's be honest, Quidco won't be here forever.

With regards to genuine, how many of the offers/no spend do people use as genuine? The daily clicks, free registration signups etc, people click just for the free pennies, not because they are interested.

With that in mind, are we all not just abusing the system for free money?

Tracked - Yes, it can change to declined

eMusic - Once validated they have agreed to pay the money. Whether they can change their mind at this stage, I don't know. I'm sure a more experienced Quidco member can give you more info.

Yes a limit has been set at 5.

Was you that asked if the 5 could be done over a very short space of time, I merely asked you what grounds do you believe there are for doing an annual ( bar a house move during the year) House Insurance comparison quote more than once or twice during a 12 Month period and you appear to agree. ;)

Re: Genuine or non genuine I was merely pointing out that it matters nothing what is said on here if Go Compare dont believe a comparison quote is genuine then they can decline a transaction.

As for "quidco wont be here forever", the merchants will only be offering cashback if its worthwhile for them to do so. ;)

Re : This fact, Do u or anyone else know whether Login into an already created quote will create a new cashback, because if not giving false details would breach most cashback sites terms and conditions ????????????? ( personally I dont know that answer)

We do agree, but if you do a quote, leaving you 4, you may own more than one home. Some people do.

My question was merely to find what others had done and to see tracking patterns. 5 in such a short space of time was a part of it, which you focused on.

"Can you do all 5 at once? 1 a day for 5 days or spread all 5 out over time?
    "

Go Compare or any other merchant can refuse cachback at any time, I know that, we all know that. My question was a question, not a statement that I was going to do all of them. I already done one when they first arrived, so only have 4 left anyway.

Well, cashback will be replaced by something bigger and better one day. Eventually the High Street Web and Kelkoo will disappear because people just do the clicks to get the cash. They can't actually make too much and will withdraw eventually. I guess that's why Erdoh withdrew - they saw the figures.

I haven't given any false details, but should I want a quote for more than 1 home...

One more thing to remember, is that companies quotes change often on a daily basis. Do saved quotes take this into consideration?

I've noticed that you can have more than 2 and started doing 3 per day on a regular basis; then realised my Quidco account will be shut down without giving me possibility to plead that '...I wasn't sure whether the second HSW tracked, so did one more just in case ...;)' - I gave up (cluck/cluck/cluck)

The other day I done a High Street Web quite late and it didn't track until the next day, so only done one the next day to be on the safe side.

I don't often find the time to do High Street and Kelkoo, for so little, so it didn't bother me.

I Did read somewhere, either here or on Quidco clan, someone does 6 high street web a day across different cashback sites, so someone has too much time on there hands :rotfl:
