I placed a test order with coininvestdirect on the 8th (Sunday)
Received confirmation on 9th
Received invoice on 9th - made transfer immediately
Recievied confirmation of payment on 1th 9:14.
Said would be shipped within 4 days - maybe longer outside Germany.
Still haven't received confirmation that it's been shipped.0 -

Cheers for that.
May well go down tomorrow and perhaps buy a couple of 1/10 oz if they have stock.
I'll see how both the Forex and Comex close tonight and by how much they differ and try and make a decision from there.0 -
Saw a quick item on how indians are selling their gold jewellery not buying it. They normally account for usage of 30% of gold mined per year0

nrsql,
If you call coininvest and give them your order ref number, they will give you the tracking number. (UPS for the UK).
When I recently placed an order, they didn't supply this info until I asked.0 -
Called and the very nice young lady gave me the tracking number and said it had been shipped yesterday.0

i recieved confirmation of payment but nothing after that to confirm shipment or tracking. was gonna chase it up but on that day a ups man came ;]

Can someone please answer the following questions that are puzzling me?
What is the difference in the nationality of the coins over at CoinInvestDirect
http://www.coininvestdirect.com/main.php?a=10&id=1 , are some considered more rarer and collectable?
Whats the difference between Buy Price, Netto Price and Butto Price, why are they different prices.
Lastly, whats the difference between bullion and the coins, is it a cosmetic thing, ie some people prefer to have there gold in coins and others as bars?
Thanks0 -

Whats the difference between Buy Price, Netto Price and Butto Price, why are they different prices.
The Buy price is the price that Coininvest will give you when you sell your items to them. The netto price is the VAT exclusive price, and butto is the VAT inclusive price
With gold, the netto and butto prices are normally the same, as there is on VAT on investment gold in the EU.
whats the difference between bullion and the coins
Coins are normally easier to sell privately, but they have a higher dealers mark up (premium) than bars.
The larger the bar or coin, the smaller the premium, and it's for this reason that you shouldn't really consider anything under 1oz as suitable for investment as the premium can be 15-20% over the price of gold.
If you want gold purely as an investment, you should go for the items with the lowest premium (for coins this is normally Krugerrands), but stick to bars of a reasonable size.
A 500 gram bar has a low mark up, but it's unlikely that you would be able to sell it privately, and if you only wanted to cash in part of it, you couldn't do so.0
