Red Ash - how expensive a problem ?

I have viewed an auction property which has been almost completed by a developer, but is is now up for auction at a rediculously low price. I would think there is something wrong with the property, but it is not obvious from the viewing.
I think the problem may be red ash, does anyone know whether this would show up in a normal survey, or would I have to get in an expert, and how much would this cost.
If it is a red ash problem, any idea how much it would cost to put right ?
Any help would be appreciated

Ummm, never even heard that there might be a problem with Red Ash.
Bear in mind that auction guide prices are sometimes set low to encourage viewings. It may not sell for that price - it's an auction after all.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
What's Red Ash? Isn't it a tree?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
