Closing Virgin Card

I've managed to get my Virgin card paid down, and I really want to close the account; but every time I call the number on my statement I just end up going round in circles and left on hold. Does anyone know the easiest route to get through to them and let them know you want to close your account? I tried getting into my online banking yesterday but I can't remember the log-in details

0800 783 1116 is the retentions team office...but they'll also close your card if you want them to.
Be aware though, that Virgin (or rather, MBNA) do offer some very good promotional rates for existing customers...which they'll try and sell you before closing your account.0 -
Virgin/MBNA have promotional deals all the time, more so since the beginning of this year. It might be worth just keeping your Virgin account open to take advantage of any 0% stoozing opportunities as and when they present themselves? Or like a stepping stone to move money from one card to another?0
