Cruise websites

We want to take our first cruise next year in Alaska, does anyone know of any websites which offer good cruise deals?

The only one we have found so far is www.vacationstogo.com

Is there anything similar to www.travelsupermarket.com but for cruising?

Have a look at cruisecritic.co.uk Quite a lot of info there. We went on an Alaskan cruise in 2000 and it was super4.

Why don't you Google - cruise deals.
From experience you can get a better deal from a Travel Agent specialising in cruises than going direct to the cruise line.
Also you will usually get a further discount if you book on line.
    Born to shop;)

I'm not sure of your age, but my parents-in-law went with Saga on a cruise to Alaska. They enjoyed every minute of it - and MIL hasn't stopped talking about it (not that she ever stops talking, but that's a different matter :D)

    I went about 5yrs ago. It's amazing, you'll have a great time.

It's a popular cruise with a short season so you don't tend to get last minute deals but there are normally deals for booking early. I know we booked in November for an August cruise to get a discount. (this may have changed 5+ yrs later)

It's worth researching which room you want - it will depend on the cruise. Ours went up the coast one way, so it was best to get a room on the land side to get good views. If it's a "return" then it doesn't really matter. We paid more to get a balcony and I'd have to say it was worth it. Sitting there in the early morning watching for whales or in the evening with a drink watching the sun set was really special.

Some of the trips fill up really quickly - we couldn't get on one of the organised bear trips as they are really popular, so try to book early.

Scotland's Cruise Centre and Cumbria Cruise Club are normally pretty good. Hays Travel have recently launched their cruise site, Hays are a good agency to deal with
