It really depends on the kind of property you're living in, and the borough. I live in SE London in a small 2 bed house and I can give you a rough idea of my bills. Water is about £20 a month, council tax (band b) is £110 per month over 10 months, and gas and electricity obviously varies - our last quarterly bill was about £200 but that was a winter bill, we're hoping this one will be a lot cheaper. On top of that we have the phone an internet, about £30 for both (we can't get the 'best' deals because of problems with our phone line) and tv licence. Those and rent are our main outgoings so at a rough guess I'd budget about £250 a month for bills.
