Dodgy Beko TV (green tinge in picture/no picture)

My 28" widescreen Beko TV occasionally tinges the picture green, or on switching it on there is no picture at all. Turning it off then on again usually sorts it out, but was wondering if anyone had any idea of a more long-term solution than turning off and on again.
Banging the TV seems to have no affect.

Try switching it off (unplug)for ½ hour then switch back on
Check all your leads
This can happen if one of your connections is loose or a wire failed
Make sure there are no magnets, speakers, etc too close to the tv
If there are move them away and degauss your tv,
give it a couple of days to see if it improvesThe object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane — Marcus Aurelius0 -
bin it....it will cost more to fix than it's worth....2 of our tvs have done this and they won't touch them and that was 3 different places....but our picture ON TOP of that started to go in at the sides too!You may walk and you may run

Ooooh, my Beko portable in my bedroom has been doing the green tinge thing and I've been blaming the Freeview box. To be fair, it must be 15 years or more old. This sounds like an excuse for a new TV.0

Was given the TV for nothing, so so long as can get a tv picture without too much hassle don't really mind. Guess this was the opportunity to find out that buying a poor brand of TV isn't the best idea when it comes to keeping a TV for the long term.0
