Hi, Sorry if this sounds daft but which is better a Vanquis Visa card or a Cashplus Mastercard ?, I know with cashplus it is your own money with no interest etc, where with Vanquis if you borrow you would be charged interest.

I would say if you can get a Vanquis card that is the better way of building up your credit record - I assume this is what you are aiming for?
If you spend a few quid each month on the Vanquis card and pay it off in full (to avoid interest) you'll pay nothing - no fees, no interest.
Whereas to use the 'credit builder' facility of the Cashplus card you have to pay a fee and more fees every time you spend and withdraw cash.
Regards
